Got an animal down? Don't panic. You've spent months - or even years - planning the hunt. Now the animal is down. The adrenaline wears off, you look at the terrain, and realize:
"How am I getting this thing out?"
That's where Backcountry Packout Services comes in.
We'll help transport your legally harvested big game from the backcountry so you can focus on getting home safely with your harvest.
Need help? Call (775-304-7740)
I've spent years in the mountains processing and packing out big game, so I understand what it takes to get a heavy animal out safely, efficiently, and without unnecessary delays. When the excitement of the harvest wears off and the work begins, you can count on us to handle the hard part.
With more than 13 years of hunting experience in Nevada, I know how demanding Northern Nevada backcountry can be. From the Jarbidge and Ruby Mountain areas to the East Humboldt and High Schells, I've spent years navigating the terrain hunters know all too well. Whether you've harvested an elk, deer, antelope, or other big game, we'll work with the terrain and conditions to get your harvest out safely
A successful hunt doesn't end when the animal hits the ground. That's when the real work begins. We strongly encourage hunters to contact us before heading into the backcountry whenever possible, but if plans change and you need help after the harvest, give us a call. We'll assess your location, the terrain, and the size of the harvest and coordinate the safest, most efficient pack out possible.
I'm Taylor Martin, founder of Backcountry Packout Services.
I've spent more than 13 years hunting Nevada and have experienced firsthand how challenging the state's backcountry can be. From pursuing bulls in wilderness country to chasing antelope across the sage flats, I've learned that a successful hunt doesn't end when the animal goes down.
That's when the real work begins.
I started Backcountry Packout Services to give Northern Nevada hunters another option when they need help getting a harvest out of difficult terrain.
I know what it's like to be standing over an animal and thinking about the miles between you and the truck.
That's where we come in.
